Portable Fuel Tank Facts

Portable Fuel Tank
A Portable Fuel Tank stores fuel for small engines like outboard motors, motorcycles, and all terrain vehicles. The tank can be crafted from hard plastic or from metal. Most have grip handles to make handling and transporting easier. Corrosion resistant, the plastic fuel tank is more commonly used with watercraft. As it is more lightweight than a metal tank. The metal fuel tank can last for years if it is properly maintained. The downside to metal is it has a tendency to rust. In addition, it can scratch surfaces as in if it is dragged across a boat deck. In choosing either a plastic or metal fuel tanks make sure the tank is equipped with a vapor tight vent close with a cap that is leak proof.
Portable Fuel Tank
To use a portable fuel system the following items are needed: Portable Fuel Tank, fuel fittings, fuel hose, tie down strap and primer bulb. The fuel tank can be metal or plastic and the fuel hose is needed to bring fuel from the tank to the engine. At least two fuel fittings are needed, as one is needed for the fuel hose and one for end of the gas tank hose. The primer bulb is helpful if a manual pump is used on the small engine, like outboard boat motors. Lastly the tie down strap is a must need, this strap holds down the tank securely before transport.

Portable Fuel Tank containers and systems are simple to service and inspect, but take note they do have a few issues of their own. Steel fuel tanks are prone to rust and whether made of plastic or steel, it is possible to have debris or residues in the tank. The fuel hose and primer bulb will deteriorate in time from whether exposure. The fittings will also need to be checked periodically to make sure they are not causing leaks, as they will loosen in time from use. When filling tanks with fuel make sure they are placed on the ground. When tanks are being filled in vehicles static electricity can build up and possibly cause a spark leading to a possible explosion.

I do not like Blitz Company because the customer service is very poor. I bought a machine last month and it was not working well. I contacted them several times and no one responded to me and I do not recommend this company.

I think that machine has a nozzle issue. I have read many reviews of this issue. Many people said there was a leaking due to nozzle issue and once it is rectified, everything is working well.

I purchased a portable fuel tank and it had the defective nozzle too. I think that is not a big issue and it is very easy to fix the nozzle. Apart from that the machine works fine.

I have a blitz portable fuel tank. It is built with metal and sturdy. I had a problem with the nozzle. It was leaking as there were some parts inside which were not tightened properly. I fixed it and it works fine.
