Tanks For All Applications

Steel Water Tanks
I was recently in the market for some Steel Water Tanks but was not sure exactly how to obtain them.  I decided to start looking on the Internet before I realized that there were so many other uses and places that I could look to purchase.  My original intent was to make these tanks into temporary fuel holding facilities for my motocross team. As we traveled, we would be able to get the best deals on fuel depending on where we would be traveling throughout the states.
Steel Water Tanks
I learned so much about the different uses for these Steel Water Tanks through all of the research I was doing to locate them.  I learned that many people were attaching them to the gutter systems on their homes as a way to catch running water from rain.  The gutters would divert the draining rain water into the tanks through the downspouts.  This allows the user to dispense the rain water through a hose for plants, irrigation systems and other outdoor, not potable, uses.

I also saw a few instances where people were cutting these Steel Water Tanks in half and creating all sorts of trailers out of them.  Some of the larger units were even being used as mini campers. by fitting them with sturdy axles, furnishings from older trailers and campers, they can easily be converted into small living quarters.  Some of the ideas I have seen included making them collapsible for easier transport.  Some more difficult welding and sizing was done with several sizes of tanks to make this happen, but the results were amazing.

Finally, I saw an endless line of commercial applications for these Steel Water Tanks.  One of the most unique was the one that converted the old tank into a concession stand.  As it was turned up on one end, wheels were added to make it mobile.  A hole was cut for a door in the side of the tank.  Another hole was cut into the front to make a serving window. This was, truly, a unique application.  As you can see, the possibilities are endless.  Recycling the tanks is a good way to reduce, recycle and reuse.

I have been using steel water tanks from 30 years and they are really great way of storing water. I have replaced one last year. It was good but I thought it was high time that I should change the tank.

I use a cylindrical steel water tank from CST Industries. It is made up of modular steel and hence durable. I have purchased it long back and I using it without any issues. I prefer steel water tanks to other ones.

I used to have a steel water tank earlier. Now we have replaced it with plastic water tank. However we had to replace three plastic water tanks within a span of 2 years. Plastic water tanks are not durable.

Nice post. Yes, these tanks are really cost effective. I have a steel water tank which is 40 years old. It has a good system to clean everything and the maintenance is very less. This is the best method to store water.

One more advantage is you can find these steel water tanks every where. You can go to the local dealer who sells storage tanks and you will definitely find a steel water tank.
